What to sell or not
I'm seeking advice on what kind of items I should hold onto to sell.
I usually hold onto any items that have maximum statistics in terms of damage or armor (for shields) or energy (focus items). However as more I play GW, I find there are items that people will buy no matter if they are at their maximum damage/armor/energy due to their appearance. What are those items? As for weapons I suppose I'm better off only keeping those that have good mods (salvageable or internal). But what about shields and focus items? What qualities should I look for? What's your suggestions as sellers? Many thanks |

Having a gold max damage anyting is nice, then throw some mods on it to sup it up. If you curious about green weapons from Sorrow's Furnance, hang out D1/D2 of the war camp to find out what's selling and how much.
Max Damage Axe 6-28 Sword 15-22 Hammer 19-35 Bow 15-28 Rod/Staff 15-28 Shield 16 (Def) Focus 12 (Entery) It's usually the cool looking stuff that does well such as Chaos Axe, Storm Bow, Fell Blade. This is from what I've observed, I don't sell that often. |

Depends on what your cutoff point for merchant fodder and how long you're willing to sell.
Chaos axes, eternal shields, storm bows, eternal bows, shadow shields, etc. will all sell for cheap (500-1k) even if they're non-max or white. As far as golds and purples go, unless it's a max 12-15>50 I tend to merchant, salvage if they're good mods, or give to friends / guildies. Shields are very difficult to sell imo, especially if they're in the 10k+ market because there are very few buyers. It's even worse when they're not a rare skin, I've been holding on to the same 3-5 shields for over 200 hours now. For focus items you're looking for max mana and some type of global fast cast / recharge or +hp/energy. |

Mods. Can't stress this enough. I've made half my trading career off mods, 10/10's, 3:1 vamp axes, etc. Mods sell. And mods will continue to sell.

Mods assume you farm. If you don't farm, you won't get very much money reselling mods.

Actually, I traded for my first mods, didn't farm em. Buy low sell high. Basically, I bough a 10/10 for dirt cheap and resold for 50k. People want things when they want them.
<and to clairfy ancient, yes I have farmed some of those, but mostly sat in dists and traded for em, gotta be efficient> --The Shim |

its really hard to explain all this as it changes alot, try browsing the sell forum for a bit, and look at what some of the people bid on different items, should give you somewhat of a feel for what sells, and what just doesnt
